Dive into a wonderland of imagination and innovation in our hands-on workshop, Navigating Wonderland: An AI-Powered Creative Journey. This workshop bridges the realms of generative AI technology and artistic expression while drawing inspiration from the whimsical world of “Alice in Wonderland.” Join us as we explore the intersections of art, technology, and imagination.

The workshop will span 3 hours, during which participants will discover the creative potential of text to image AI generation as a powerful tool for artists and designers. Through creative exercises, participants will navigate the intersection of technology and imagination, reflecting on how AI can amplify their creative processes.

We’ll interpret the Wonderland theme from “Alice in Wonderland” in a novel light, generating dreamlike landscapes, crafting characters like the Cheshire Cat and the White Rabbit. The workshop encourages participants to explore their creativity, pushing the boundaries of traditional design to visualise and bring imaginative concepts to life.

Throughout the workshop, we will reflect on how the use of generative AI in creative processes relates to the symposium’s overarching themes of navigating, automating, and dreaming. Engaging discussions will revolve around AI’s role in contemporary art and design, considering its potential and limitations in the creative process.
The workshop is led by Victoria Campbell, a seasoned graphic designer and design educator with over 30 years of experience. Victoria brings a wealth of knowledge in design, creativity, combined with a curious passion for integrating generative AI into her creative process.
