In her honours degree at AUT University, Georgia Shattky created a video piece called “Glass In My Mind” that explored the ideas of narrative in new media. With her artistic input, we made an interactive digital art piece built on the same concept and design as her original video.
With our expertise in interactive technologies, we were able to allow the audience to manipulate the story told by the video by placing their own bodies into the work. Using a method of “data moshing”, the stories are mixed together with a live camera feed and visual effects applied when the viewers stand on the pressure sensitive mats on the floor.
