Dr Maggie Buxton & Kim Newall (awhi world)

Te Tai Tokerau resident Dr Maggie Buxton will open a portal into her transdisciplinary innovation project PlantLab. She will present an overview of its aims and outputs from the formerly empty shop where it currently resides. One of the participants, Kim Newall, will share his project of weaving together live visual performance (Vjing) and biodata.

Plantlab is part collaborative research project, part installation and part innovation hub. It popped-up physically in a formerly empty shop as well as hosting online events. Dr Maggie Buxton and PlantLab collaborators will do a live show and tell style talk from the PlantLab space, located in the Whangarei CBD. Followed by Kim Newall talking about his work using plant data in VJ practice.
